You may find this disposal a bit noisy. For me, it is not very quiet, but not load enough to irritate me. The price you pay and the operation you get from the disposal is very reasonable. So the disposal makes a completely acceptable amount of noise, and I am ok with it. Unless you want to have a very quiet garbage disposal, you will not be disappointed with it.

The disposal is compact in size to fit within even a very small space under the sink. The height of the disposal is big but the width is not much wide. Fortunately, GFC520v disposal contains enough space within the grinding camber. It can easily grind a good amount of waste at a time.
