Waste king l-1001 is not a great option for a big family. As I always say, regular over usage of a disposal can make the motor shut down much earlier than its own lifespan. It also increases the chances of jam and other problem. So, don’t buy waste king l-1001 if your family is big or you need a heavy-duty garbage disposal.

If I talk about power, it is powerful enough to grind the leftovers of a small household. Removable Splash Guard & Stopper
The disposal includes a removable splash guard. It prevents to accidentally fall out things inside the disposal and fly out small waste bits out of disposal while it is on. When you need to clean the disposal or simply need to check by looking inside, remove the splash guard.
