General Electric GFC320V Review

by Paul

Having a garbage disposal in your kitchen always makes your cleaning very easy. I know many people who never encourage having a disposal, saying bad things on the basis of any bad experience. But, I have seen many people who once started to use a disposal and couldn’t ignore how helpful this appliance is.

From a big family with lots of people to the two person small houses, I have seen hundreds of consumers who made the garbage disposal as an inevitable appliance in the kitchen. If you have a small family and don’t need a disposal more powerful than 1/3 hp, then General Electric GFC320V is a great option for you.

General Electric GFC320V

General Electric GFC320V is one of the best small garbage disposals in the market.

I have always been a big fan of General Electric. I love their appliances. It is very usual that any line of their appliances easily passes the quality and convenience test. Nothing different goes for GE garbage disposals.

The general Electric garbage disposals are easy to install, powerful, durable and amazingly designed. Not only the quality, these disposals also fit easily in your budget.

As many of my friends and neighbors know, I am crazy about appliances. I try to help anyone if they are going to buy a new appliance for their home. Besides that, I mostly try to do all the fittings and the installation by myself.

So, I always try to help if someone asks to be there and help to install an appliance. One day one of my neighbors asked for my help to install his new General Electric GFC320V garbage disposal. Since then I formed an opinion about this particular garbage disposal unit.

As I already said, I love the appliances from General Electric. I was very curious about this disposal. The installation was a breeze. Besides that, I love this disposal because of its power, making the material, convenient design, strong operation and long term durability.

The disposal my neighbor installed that day, is still running without any hiccups and it’s been more than 5 years. He lives with his partner and needs the regular light use of the disposal in their kitchen. They are very satisfied with this disposal.

Design & Build Quality

I love General Electric garbage disposals for their amazing design and making of the material. It is not necessary to have a good looking disposal under your sink, but it is necessary to have something that is strong and durable.

Unlike many of the popular disposals from renowned brands, this disposal is not made of cheap plastic. This disposal’s making material is strong cold-rolled carbon-steel armature shaft material, which lasts longer than disposals made of cheap plastic.

Price Guide

General Electric GFC320V is one of the most budget-friendly disposals in the market. You can easily fit it in your budget. Comparing all the available disposals in the market, it is one of those cheap in price but with amazing quality garbage disposals. In short, it is perfect value for money purchase.

Size of the Garbage Disposal

This disposal is very compact in size, and light weight comparing most of the garbage disposals in the market. It is only 5 x 5 x 13 inches in dimensions and weight 8.9 Pounds.

The size is perfect for those houses that contain small space under the disposal. It easily fits under the sink and the light weight helps to easily install or replace the disposal.

Installation Process

As I have already installed this garbage disposal, I know it is not a tough job to install a garbage disposal like this. The compact size makes it very easy to install even if you are doing the installation by your own.

The disposal comes with EZ mounting system. The disposal mounting uses two bolts, where most of the disposal mounting uses three bolt system. That’s why you need to replace the mounting fully while installation if you are changing your old disposal with it.

Noise Levels

This disposal is extremely quiet comparing the old noisy badger disposals, but a bit noisy compared to the high-end noise insulated disposals. The noise level is completely tolerable as said by most of the consumers.

The disposal comes with a standard sound-insulation package from GE, that helps to reduce the level of sound. In my opinion, I think the disposal makes less noise than most of the disposals of similar price range.
